Pizza Dough

Fall is finally here! I love driving by the neighborhood and seeing the color of the trees change. The fog today enhances the fall season. Makes me want to have the oven on just to keep the house warm.

Tomorrow I am expecting a friend and 3 kids to come over for dinner and a play date. What a perfect time to serve pizza for dinner. It's easy and fun! Kids can make their own pizza! Baking the pizza at 500 degrees is going to make the house warm too.

Since I have to work tomorrow, I am going to prepare my pizza dough tonight.

Below are the ingredients that you will need to make pizza dough:

1 tbsp yeast

1 cup warm water (110 degrees)

1 tbsp sugar (or honey)
I've been using sugar for my pizza dough. It's less messy than honey.

3 cups all purpose flour

3 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

Instructions:

When I make pizza, I prefer to make at least 4 recipes at a time. It just makes the effort worth it.

I like to use this food container to dissolve the yeast.

I also like to have this container for the dough.

Fill the container with 1 cup warm water (not hot water). Add yeast.

Sugar

Stir the mixture until dissolved. Set aside.

Use the same process if you are making 4 recipes of pizza dough.

Set the mixture aside.

Wait until the mixture is frothy and bubbly.

This is the consistency that you want.

Pour the mixture in a mixing bowl.

Just like this

Add olive oil

Flour

Salt

With the dough hook, mix all the ingredients until combined.

Continue to mix.

When fully combined, put the dough in a covered container. Make sure to lightly grease the container including the top of the container to prevent the dough from sticking.

Set aside until the mixture doubles in size.

Yay! Now the dough is ready!

Lightly dust the counter top with flour.

Place the dough on the counter top and divide into into 4.

This size is good for one personal size pizza.

Since I will be using the dough tomorrow, I am going to put them in ziplock bags and refrigerate them for now. I also lightly covered the dough with flour to prevent it from sticking in the ziplock bags.

I'll post more pics tomorrow when I'm ready to bake the pizza.

Good night world! :)
